The Master of Environmental Science (NEC 0521) is a multidisciplinary research-based programme that focuses on Environmental Science, with the aim of conducting research primarily, but not limited to, environmental sciences. Research areas include data analytics for industries, such as the development of water quality indices.

This programme was first offered in the February 2013/2014 session. It has received a quality certification from the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA/FA 7492).

The course is offered in two modes: full-time and part-time. The minimum duration for full-time study is two (2) semesters, and the maximum is eight (8) semesters.
