The Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Environmental Science (NEC 0521) is a multidisciplinary research-based programme that focuses on Environmental Science, with the aim of conducting research primarily, but not limited to, the field of Environmental Science.

Research areas include data analytics for industries, such as the development of water quality indices.

This programme has been accredited by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA/FA 7493). The first student intake was in February 2013/2014.

The programme is offered in two modes: full-time and part-time. The minimum duration for full-time study is four (4) semesters, and the maximum is ten (10) semesters.
