SPM

All below requirements must be fulfilled:

  1. Malaysian citizen with Identification Card No./ My Kad
  2. Possessed Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) Certificate with at least five honours including Bahasa Melayu and passed Sejarah subject in SPM examination.
  3. Obtained a minimum of B+ in English Language
  4. Obtained a minimum of C+ in one of the following subjects: Bahasa Arab/ Al-Lughah Al-Arabiah Al-Mu’asirah
  5. Obtained a minimum of C+ in one of the following subjects: Pendidikan Syariah Islamiah/ Pendidikan Al-Quran dan Al-Sunnah/ Pendidikan Islam/ Tasawwur Islam/ Usul Al-Din/ Al-Syariah/ Manahij Al-Ulum Wa Al-Balaghah/ Hifz Al-Quran/ Maharat Al-Quran/
  6. Obtained a minimum of C in ONE (1) subject other than the above selected subjects excluding Bahasa Melayu.
  7. No physical disability, not blind, deaf or not mute.

Diploma in Law was first offered in July 1991 under the School of General Studies, Kolej Agama Sultan Zainal Abidin (KUSZA). The programme obtained recognition from the Department of Public Service Malaysia (JPA) in 1996. It received the quality certificate (MQA 19737) and full accreditation (MQA/FA9664) from the Malaysian Qualification Agency in 2017. Diploma in Law is a full-time study. The duration of the programme is 2 years and 6 months, covering 6 semesters altogether which consist of 5 Regular Semesters and 1 Short Semester. Industrial training is conducted during Short Semester in final year. Industrial training is conducted at the final short semester. Teaching and learning methods for the courses are conducted through lectures, tutorials, practical, presentation, projects and industrial training. 

The aims of the programme are to produce graduates who possess a satisfactory command of legal knowledge and skills, lifelong learning and career development skills, a sense of awareness to uphold rule of law and social justice, and aptitude to serve the profession, society and nation.
