Diploma in Industrial Design has received the quality certificate from the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA FA9659) under National Education Code (NEC) 0212. This is a full-time study programme with duration is two and half years covering six semesters. Teaching and learning methods for each course are conducted through lectures, tutorials, practical, presentation, projects and industrial training.

Diploma in Industrial Design Program in UniSZA prepares students a foundation for a career in the global product design industry. The Industrial Design course begins with a grounding in design fundamentals, and later focuses on the study of aesthetics, functions, use of materials and manufacturing processes. Students will have the chance to develop innovative designs to improve quality of living and catering human needs. This course emphasizes on problem solving methods exploration in conceptual and functional idea using hands-on skills. Student will be explore fundamental of design process, from developing the ideas to building 3-D model or prototypes while learning the manufacturing processes and marketing strategies. Design projects cover areas such as product, furniture and automotive design.
