University Requirement

  • Pass in the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM)/ equivalent qualification with honours in Bahasa Melayu/ Bahasa Malaysia or honours in Bahasa Melayu/ Bahasa Malaysia Paper July

AND

  • Pass the Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) with a minimum of CGPA 2.50

Programme Requirement

  • Pass with at least CGPA of 3.00

AND

  • Obtain at least Gred B (3.00) in STPM level for the following subjects:
    • Biology
    • Chemistry
    • Physic / Mathematics (M) / Mathematics (T) / Further Mathematics

Any other Certificate that is recognized and approved by the Senate of the University;

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS:

International English Language Testing Service (IELTS) Band 5.0;

Bachelor of Dietetics (Honours) program was the second program that was approved by the Ministry of Higher Education after the Medical Bachelor and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) program on 26 March 2009. The program has been accredited by MQA in 2014. The recognition by MQA shows that this program has attained the quality standard set by MQA and is in compliance with the MQF. This four years course offered students with basic medical sciences, dietetics, nutrition, food sciences, and social sciences courses and conduct a small research project as a requirement for graduation. Students will also undergo 1000 hours of clinical training in dietetics during their final year. Program aims to produce a dietitian who is knowledgeable and clinically competent in dietetics discipline in-line with the government and industry requirement.
