DIPLOMA AND EQUIVALENT CATEGORY

All of the requirements below must be fulfilled

  1. A pass in the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM)/ equivalent qualification with honours in Bahasa Melayu/ Bahasa Malaysia or honours in Bahasa Melayu/ Bahasa Malaysia
  2. Minimum Grade C in the following subjects
    • Biology
    • Physics
    • Mathematics
    • English
  3. No physical disability, stammering, colour blindness, deafness, dumb, visual defect

Diploma in Physiotherapy program was approved by the Ministry of Higher Education on 3 February 2009. The first cohort of students for Diploma in Physiotherapy was enrolled in June, 2011. The program has received its full accreditation from the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA/FA 4145) starting 26 August 2013. The National Education Code for the program is 726. The Diploma in Physiotherapy program is a full time program. The duration of the program is 3 years. Diploma in physiotherapy is offered in 2U2i (2U1i) mode since 2018. The classes for the first 2 years will be conducted in the university campus and the final year training will be conducted at Hospitals. The program consists of 6 semesters. The number of credits for the diploma in physiotherapy program is 105. Teaching and learning process for the diploma in physiotherapy programs consists of Lectures (online/face to face), practical sessions at laboratories, tutorials and clinical placement at various hospitals.

 

The aim of the program is to produce competent and holistic physiotherapy graduates committed to the challenging scenario and current development of health care industry requirements in line with the university’s vision and mission.
