Library provides the following services and facilities to users with special needs

Assist the users of special needs with finding books on the shelf.
Books searching and reservation.
Assist the users of special needs for the Borrowing & Returning services at the circulation counter.
Our staff are on hand to provide help and advice in using the library services.

AUTHORIZED USER CARD

Can be issued to persons accompanied the user with special needs on request.
Special needs users can authorize up to one person to check out or pick up library materials using their student Card.
Authorized user is only for registered user. (student, staff and library member of UniSZA)

Tour of the library can be provided upon request to show students the various services and facilities available in the Library
One to one information literacy class.

Help locating resources.
Arrangements for 'Authorized User' to borrow books or collect holds on behalf of a student.

Online information search / retrieval services.
One to one help with database searching and referencing.
e-delivery of most articles (by email).

SPECIAL NEEDS FACILITIES

BASIC FACILITIES FOR USERS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS

Washrooms with facilities for users with special needs. They are located in different areas of the library.
Wheelchairs.
Lift.
Small ramp for accessibility.
