Reading Area

  • Gong Badak Campus Library provides spacious reading areas at every levels in the library which can accommodate around 1000 users at one time.
  • Whereas, Medical Campus Library can accommodate about 70 users only.
  • However, Tembila Campus Library can accommodate up to 72 users.

 

Auditorium

The Library Auditorium are for libraries and university activities. Auditorium is equipped with screening media materials can accommodate 120 users at one time. Application for use of the auditorium can be done by the UniSZA Development and Maintenance Department (PPHB).

 

 

Photocopying service/Printing

  • Photocopying and printing services are available at the ground floor of the library and managed by UniSZA Holding.
  • These services also available at Medical Campus Library.

 

 

Computer Lab

  •  Gong Badak Campus

Located on the 2nd floor, this computer lab can accommodate up to 112 users. 112 computers installed with all the basic application such as word processing, spread sheet, internet browser and so forth.  The facilities are meant for student to complete their daily chores as student at higher learning institute.

A total of 56 computers at open access computer lab are available for the convenience of users accessing the database, digital materials and surfing the Internet. Printing facilities are also available in this lab.

A total of 56 computers at closed access computer lab are for teaching and learning programs that equipped with a ceiling mounted projection screen.

Users are required to register their names at the counter before they can use the computers.

  • Medical Campus

 Due to physical constraint, Computer Lab at Medical Campus only can accommodate eight users at one time.

 

Wifi Zone

User can get connected to the campus network from anywhere within the library premises of both campuses through wireless network facility. Users are advised to register with Information Technology Center in order to get access password.

 

 

 

 

24 Hours Reading Room

This room only available at Kota Campus Library. To access into the room, users need to use outside library’s door. It only can accommodate 10-12 users at one time.

 

 

 

Self-check Machine and Book-drop

Self-check machine help users to save time without need queuing for borrowing process at the counter. They can do a borrowing process by themselves. The library provides 4 self-check machines at Gong Badak Campus Library only.

Book-drop system works for books delivery after library's operation hours.

In order to improve service and to cater with the growing number of users obtaining services from the library, we have equipped library of both campuses with self-check and book-return machine.

 

 

 

Discussion Rooms

Registered library users can use discussion rooms in the library. Reservations can be made at the service counter. The minimum pax to use the room is 6 people, with 2 hours duration.

Important Notes

  • At least four group members must check in by placing their student or staff cards to the Circulation Counter.
  • For continuous booking, check in is required for each session.
  • Booking of a session will be cancelled if check-in is not done by at least four group members within the first 30 minutes of the session.
  • Keys must be returned to the Circulation Counter within 5 minutes of expiration session.
  • No food is permitted.
  • Please keep noise to a reasonable level.
  • Never leave valuables unattended.
  • When you leave please turn off the lights and close the door, please lock the door as you leave.
  • If you are not able to make use of your discussion room booking please cancel it.
  • Do not leave books or other materials in the discussion rooms.
  • Under all circumstances, chairs and tables must not be taken from the reading area or from one room to another.
  • Users must clear the rooms at the end of the loan period, and must leave the rooms clean and tidy.  

Carrel / Study Rooms

  • The library provides 9 carrels. This facility is available for disabilities students, graduate students and academic staff.
  • All students with disabilities are provided with a carrel until they have completed their studies.
  • Postgraduate students and academic staff must make a reservation/registration at the counter for daily use of the room.
  • The maximum period use for both categories of users is 1 day (based on library's operation hours).

Lockers

Locker facilities are available for storage bags, and other files. All lockers are located in the foyer, at the main entrance of the library. There are 2 types of lockers available.

  1. Unlocked lockers for baggage storage, and other files.
  2. Storage locker for valuables.

Users can apply for the key at service counter and leave the student card as collateral, if the keys are lost. RM5 will be imposed for any lost keys. All users must submit the locker key before the library closes.

 

 

Prayer Rooms

Two prayer rooms are located the ground floor.
