This book discusses nine contemporary issues which not only focus on local or domestic issues of a certain country but also global issues that might interest the readers especially Muslim human righters. The concept of human rights is characterized as a common standard of achievement for all people and all nations,' which is a common benchmark on humanitarian achievements that all the communities and nations in the world need to achieve. From Islamic perspectives, Islam as a comprehensive teaching has taught its people the right to human rights. This is reflected in the purpose of Syari'ah in Islam, which is to preserve religion, to preserve the soul, to preserve the intellect, to preserve the honor or heredity, and to preserve the wealth. It aims to define human rights as a set of rights attached to human beings as universal creatures honored and upheld and that are universally obliged to be protected by state, law, government, and everyone. Hence, Islam and Human Rights are an inseparable unity with the Qur'an and the Hadith as sources of the teachings of Islam. It is hoped that this book would enlighten those who have the interest to understand the comprehensiveness and uniqueness discussing the issues of human of Islam in rights.
