Wireless Mesh Networks (WMNs) emerge as cost-effective, scalable and robust communication solutions, particularly the Multi-Radio Multi-Channel (MRMC) WMNs. They, however, face challenges such as interference, routing issues and Quality of Service (QoS) constraints that hinder performance. Efficient channel assignment is crucial to mitigate interference and enhance communication quality. The Priority-based Minimum Interference Channel Assignment (PRIMICA) algorithm reduces interference, packet loss and delay by assigning different channels to each radio, thus improving QoS. Additionally, managing congestion and optimizing routing are also vital. The COngestion Reduction Routing Algorithm (CORRA) finds optimal data paths by evaluating link quality and interference. Load-balancing and fair resource allocation are also critical and are addressed by the load-balanced resource allocation (LRA) algorithm. Together, these algorithms improve network performance by balancing coverage and capacity, and managing interference effectively in MRMC WMNs. The target market for these solutions includes telecommunications companies, internet service providers, smart city planners, government agencies involved in disaster recovery, defense sectors and organizations seeking to deploy cost-effective and scalable wireless communication solutions in urban and rural settings. These algorithms are particularly beneficial for environments that require high reliability and low latency, such as industrial loT, remote connectivity and emergency communication networks.
