Objectives

The International Seminar on al-Qur’an and Sunnah in Contemporary Society 2026 (SQ2026) aims to serve as a platform for scholarly dialogue, interdisciplinary engagement, and innovative thought in addressing contemporary challenges in Islamic education and society. In line with this vision, the seminar seeks to:

3.1 To explore innovative approaches in Islamic education that leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a teaching tool to enhance understanding and appreciation of Divine revelation among the community.

3.2 To strengthen academic collaboration among regional higher education institutions in building a digitally literate society grounded in Islamic values and principles.

3.3 To share research findings and insights from scholars, Islamic academics, and industry practitioners that can generate new ideas for addressing issues related to the Qur’an and Sunnah.

3.4 To enhance research networking and collaboration between Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA) and regional universities, research centers, religious institutions, and industry partners in a more strategic and impactful manner.
