Call for Papers

You are cordially invited to participate in the International Seminar on al-Quran and Sunnah in Contemporary Society 2026 (SQ2026) which will be held on 13 & 14 June 2026. The theme of the conference is “Developing a Madani Society: Integrating the Qur’an and Sunnah with Artificial Intelligence (AI)”.

All accepted papers will be published in indexed journals, other recognized indexed journals, or as book chapters, subject to the publisher’s terms and conditions. The conference accepts full papers in Malay, Arabic, and English only, and presenters may deliver their presentations in any one of these languages. Selected high-quality papers will be further considered and recommended for publication in Scopus-indexed journals, subject to an additional review process and full compliance with the respective journal guidelines.

We invite submissions of papers in any of the relevant sub-themes:

• Development of Quranic Studies, Tahfiz, and Hadith
• Islamic Disciplines and Contemporary Issues
• Values, Social Well-being, and Community Engagement
• Technology, Innovation, and Digital Transformation in Islamic Studies
