The International Seminar on al-Qur’an and Sunnah in Contemporary Society 2026 (SQ2026) is a high-level international academic conference organised by the Department of al-Qur’an and al-Sunnah, Faculty of Islamic Contemporary Studies, Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA), Malaysia. The seminar provides a rigorous scholarly platform for academics, researchers, policymakers, and practitioners from around the world to present original research, exchange intellectual perspectives, and engage in critical dialogue on the role of the Qur’an and Sunnah in addressing contemporary societal challenges. SQ2026 seeks to foster interdisciplinary engagement that bridges classical Islamic scholarship with present-day realities, while promoting innovative, evidence-based, and impactful research contributions. In line with its academic vision, SQ2026 cordially invites the submission of high-quality research papers that critically explore, but are not limited to, the following thematic areas:
