The 1st International Social Science, Environment and Tourism Research Conference (ISSET 2026), organised by Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA), Malaysia, is an inaugural international academic forum bringing together scholars, researchers, postgraduate students, policymakers, and industry practitioners to foster interdisciplinary knowledge exchange and collaboration in the fields of social sciences, environmental studies, and tourism.

Held on 4–5 October 2026 at UniSZA, the conference provides a platform for presenting research, engaging in critical dialogue, and addressing contemporary issues related to sustainability, governance, education, public policy, digital transformation, community development, cultural heritage, and tourism. Featuring keynote addresses, paper presentations, and academic discussions involving scholars from Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand, ISSET 2026 aims to strengthen regional research networks, promote innovative and evidence-based scholarship, and initiate future cross-border collaborations.
