Welcome to ICLG 2026
The Faculty of Law and International Relations (FUHA), Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA), is honoured to welcome you to the 7th International Conference on Law and Globalisation 2026 (ICLG 2026), to be held at Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin, Terengganu, Malaysia, on 27–28 October 2026. ICLG 2026 is organised by the Faculty of Law and International Relations (FUHA), Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA), and co-organised by the Malaysia Competition Commission (MyCC), together with leading universities and institutional partners from Malaysia and around the world.
This year’s conference embraces the theme is “Sustaining Justice and Humanity in the AI-Driven World: Towards Legal Transformation and Global Governance”. As artificial intelligence continues to transform societies, institutions and systems of governance, it presents profound opportunities alongside complex legal, ethical and humanitarian challenges. ICLG 2026 provides a timely and intellectually dynamic forum for examining how law and global governance must evolve to safeguard justice, human dignity, accountability and the rule of law in an increasingly technology-driven world.
The Conference seeks to convene distinguished academics, researchers, legal practitioners, policymakers, industry experts, emerging scholars and students from Malaysia and across the globe. It offers a premier interdisciplinary platform for participants to present original research, exchange scholarly perspectives and engage in critical dialogue on contemporary developments at the intersection of law, globalisation, artificial intelligence and governance.
Beyond showcasing recent research findings and emerging trends, ICLG 2026 aims to foster meaningful deliberation on pressing legal and regulatory concerns, practical challenges and innovative solutions. Through the exchange of knowledge and expertise across disciplines, jurisdictions and institutions, the conference aspires to contribute towards legal transformation and the development of more just, humane, inclusive and sustainable systems of global governance.
We warmly invite you to join this distinguished gathering of scholars, professionals and future leaders as we advance critical conversations, forge meaningful collaborations and collectively shape the future of law and global governance in the age of artificial intelligence.
