Presentation Videos Guidelines

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and increasing social distancing measures and restrictions on public gatherings and travel, the ICLC 2021 will host the conference virtually. Authors are required to record their presentations (using any available recording device) and submit the links to the given destination (see below).

The videos will then be watched by the audience during the plenary sessions and the Q&A will follow afterwards. The author(s) are required to be present for their slots.

Preparing the video and slides

  1. The duration of the videos are limited to 10 minutes ONLY.
  2. The title of the paper and the name(s) of the author(s) must be written clearly on the first page of the slide.
  3. Ensure that the slides are legible, clear, and concise.
  4. Use whatever device to best film the presentation (e.g., a handheld video camera, a smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop webcam). If using a computer webcam, you can record using the camera software on your computer, Zoom, Webex, StreamYard or other recording software.
  5. Recommended set for HD format (1280 x 720 or other “720p” setting) or higher.
  6. Please DO NOT include embedded videos.
  7. File Format: MPEG-4 (.mp4) file.

Recording the video

  1. The videos must meet the following criterion :
    - Recorded horizontally.
    - Recorded from a static position.
    - Recorded from one camera angle.
    - Recorded in an area with properly- placed light.
    - Recorded in a quiet area. If possible, use an earphone to ensure a clear and crisp audio.
    - Preferably recorded on a plain background.

  2. We highly recommend the authors to record the video using a slide sharing format, where a window box with the speaking presenter will appear on the screen, as opposed to a voice-over presentation only.
  3. Once the recording is done, authors can upload their videos to online storage/ platforms such as iCloud, Google Drive, YouTube, Microsoft OneDrive, Amazon Drive to name a few.
  4. Please take note that the videos are not to be used for other purposes or prior to the conference day.
