Abstract Submission Guidelines & Formats

 

TRANSLATIONAL AND HOLISTIC MEDICINE CONFERENCE 2024: BREAST CANCER

(TranSMec 2024)

INTRODUCTION

The guideline for abstract submission aims to provide clear directions for abstract submission. Prospective authors are encouraged to carefully review the following instructions. The Scientific Committee reserves the right to reject any abstract that does not comply with or violates the requirements.

GENERAL ABSTRACT GUIDELINES

  1. The Scientific Committee encourages the submission of original scientific materials that have not been presented elsewhere.
  2. Research categories and topics:
    • Basic Science research: Basic laboratory research (e.g. ethnopharmacological, physiological, molecular biological research, animal models) that has practical implications for breast cancer care.
    • Applied research: Research that reports epidemiological data, specific disease states (e.g. risk factors of a disease, evaluation of screening, diagnostic techniques and therapies), data about the safety or benefits of clinical management (e.g. medications, training method, teaching concept, behavioural change etc.), complementary medicine and social aspects in human subjects.
  3. Abstract is open to any topics related to any cancer types/translational medicine/holistic medicine including :
    • Preclinical research
    • Translational research
    • Clinical study/ trial
    • Systematic and scoping review
    • Clinical case report/ case series
  4. Abstracts that appear as a similar version of a single study and do not meet the conference theme will be rejected
  5. Abstracts should be submitted in clear British English to allow the reviewers to focus on the scientific content of the abstract.
  6. Abstracts should be checked for grammar and spelling errors. Abstracts cannot be modified once submitted.
  7. All abstract submissions must strictly follow the template and requirement provided. Failure to do so will lead to disqualification. 
  8. Deadline for abstract submission is 30th July 2024 7th August 2024. Abstract acceptance notice will be emailed by 15th August 2024. Accepted abstract participants must register/complete their payment for the conference by 31st August 2024.

 

ABSTRACT REVIEW AND SELECTION

1.Before abstracts are approved, a team of experts will assess the abstracts’ suitability.

2.Each participant may submit a maximum of THREE (3) entries. Email of either oral or poster presentation acceptance will be issued to the corresponding author by 15th of August 2024.

3. The date and slot of the oral presentation and detailed guideline of presentation will be informed to the oral presenter two weeks prior to the event. Poster presenters will be informed on their poster number and physical board venues during registration.

4. Any TranSMeC 2024’s committee members who wish to submit their abstracts,  for both oral and poster submission, the committee members should not be the presenter.

 

WITHDRAWAL OF ACCEPTED ABSTRACT POLICY

If the author/s wishes to withdraw their abstract after acceptance, they are requested to email secretariat (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) within ONE week after being accepted.

 

RECORDING AND PUBLICATION POLICY

 Upon submission, all authors are agreed,

  1. their names will appear on the abstract
  2. their poster and/or oral presentation may be photographed, videotaped and/or recorded via other media means during the conference.
  3. all possible patent and copyright issues must be resolved before submission.
