Guidelines for the Research Oral Presentation 

Please observe the guidelines below to ensure the smooth proceeding of the conference.

The slides presentation should include:

  • Title, author/s, and institution
  • Introduction 
  • Objectives 
  • Methods 
  • Results with tables, graphs, pictures as deemed appropriate
  • Conclusion

Oral Presentation Format:

  • You are required to submit your presentation slides in the Conference website portal at least by 1.00pm, one week prior to the conference (11th September 2024)
  • The use of PowerPoint (PPT) and other presentation tools/formats such as Canva and Prezi are encouraged.
  • Using your own laptop for presentation is NOT allowed.
  • Audio visual aids available for presentation are LCD projectors and laptop. The aids are available on 18th September 2024 from 08.00 am onward in the presentation venue for your slide preview and presentation testing. The technical staff will assist you with your presentation materials. 
  • Please bring your backup files in a USB memory stick.
  • All presenters are required to be at the designated hall at least 30 minutes before the scheduled time.

 

During presentation:

  • You can control the slides using the provided laser pointer at the podium.
  • Please remember that the time allotted to the oral presentation session is 10 minutes (8 minutes for presentation and 2 minutes for Q&A). 
  • During the presentation, you will be alerted by the caution bell. Please follow the Chairperson’s instructions, especially with regards to the duration of your presentation. A timekeeper will be assigned to ensure presenters keep to the time given.

Winners Announcement

  • Winners will be announced at the Closing Ceremony on September 19th, 2024, from 3:30 to 4:30 pm. Winners must be present to collect their prizes. If not, the certificate will be given later, but the prize money will be forfeited.
